Additional Coverage Available for Your OK Home Insurance Policy

Oklahoma Home InsuranceFor many homeowners, basic coverages are not enough to fully protect their property. To extend coverages, you can buy our Home Advantage Package, which includes:3

“New for Old” Protection‡‡ to help cover your possessions if they get destroyed.

Personal injury liability coverage to help cover costs from libel or slander claims.

Reimbursement for replacing locks if you lose your key or someone steals it.

Identity fraud expense coverage to help cover lost income and legal fees if you suffer from identity theft. This will help with out-of-pocket expenses you have to pay, up to $25,000.

If you need more protection, we also offer our Home Advantage Plus Package. This includes all the benefits of our Home Advantage package, plus these extra coverages:4

Some other coverage options you can add to your policy are:

Valuable items blanket to provide extra protection for certain valuables. For instance, if you have insured jewelry that gets stolen, this coverage can help cover its replacement costs.

Earthquake coverage to help pay for damage resulting from earthquakes in Oklahoma. So, if an earthquake damages your home’s foundation, this coverage can help pay to have it repaired. Keep in mind that this coverage is not automatically included in your policy but you can add it for an extra layer of protection.

Your homeowners insurance coverage is customizable, but it helps to know what coverages you need. That’s why inventorying your items before you select your policy is essential. To create a successful inventory, be sure to:

  • Write down features for all your items including age, color and other detailing.
  • Take photos of the items.
  • Write down serial numbers for bigger items or electronics.
  • Group similar items together like dishes or clothes.
  • Save a copy digitally by typing the list or taking a photo of it to ensure it doesn’t get damaged.
