Savino leads the Industry Practice group supporting Private Education, Health Care, Financial Institutions, and Professional Services clientele at The Hartford. With more than 25 years of Property and Casualty Underwriting experience, Savino is driven by a passion for underwriting and delivering specialization. She joined The Hartford in 2004, and since then has served in roles with increasing responsibility, each centered around delivering specialization through the products, underwriting, and service provided by The Hartford. Savino leads an experienced team of underwriting directors who focus on driving specialization for The Hartford's Middle & Large Commercial field team, focusing on Private Education, Health Care, Financial and Professional Services. Savino is responsible for the overall performance of the portfolio, building underwriting expertise, talent development, and advancing The Hartford’s specialization journey through innovation.
Prior to joining The Hartford, Heather served as an Executive Underwriter for CNA Insurance Companies and Liberty Mutual (RAM/Holdings) for 10 years in the states of Connecticut and Rhode Island. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English & Communications from The University of Connecticut. She currently resides in Connecticut.
